The newly appointed Consul General of Sri Lanka assumes duties at the Sri Lanka Consulate in Milan
The newly appointed Consul General of Sri Lanka Mr. H.W. Dulmith Waruna officially assumed duties at the Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Milan, Italy on 02.10.2025 overseeing Lombardy, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Liguria, Piedmont, Trentino Alto Adige, Valle d' Aosta, Veneto and Emilia Romagna regions. The staff of the Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Milan warmly welcomed the Consul General on this occasion.
Addressing the staff, the Consul General emphasized the importance of delivering responsive and effective service to the Sri Lankans residing in Northern Italy. He also stressed the importance of enhancing friendly ties between Sri Lanka and Italy in the spheres of trade, culture and education.
Mr. Dulmith Waruna is a Grade II Sri Lanka Foreign Service Officer and has previously served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism and Sri Lanka Missions abroad including in Riyadh and Moscow.
